Details:
Comet Lovejoy was setting at -29 degree declination which is low on the southern horizon. Sky condition was at best fair with transparency being poor. Three 10 minute exposure were captured using AT 66mm coupled to mod.Canon XT and then stacked to produce this image. Image reveal some disconnect in the tail of the comet.

Hello Tom, its not the best picture of this comet I have seen, but I like it because you have succeed to take an image of it with a little instrument. Congratulations !

Excellent shot of Comet Lovejoy 2014Q2 on Dec 25th. I can even see a faint tail, which was reportedly blown off in the last few days before Christmas. Great that you managed to capture what appears to be a new tail forming! Well done!
