Normally It takes a long time to hunt such slender crescent Moon. We were absolutely lucky to have a nice weather & perfect western horizon after the Sunset of December 22nd. The Crescent was seen 28 minutes after the local Sunset through 20*90 binoculars at 17:27 . Photos taken by Canon 6D camera, 1000 mm lens Moon properties at 17:27: Elongation: 7.491° Moon age: 12h, 21 min phase: 0.55 % Moon altitude: 1.5°
