Aurora Borealis
Taken by Tom Schutz on December 20, 2014 @ This was the first aurora I witnessed from higher latitudes. It was beautiful - pillars and curtains would form, move, and disintegrate over short time spans. They were much more active in real time than I imagined! Details: Olympus E-M5, 800 ISO, 15 seconds, f/4.5, 14mm lens (28mm equivalent). Just after midnight.
