Finally, a clear night and no trees obstructing the view (I had to cut some down. lol.) Comet C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) was easily spotted in binoculars after only a few minutes of searching for it. Its quite a bit brighter than predicted. I shot some 3 minute, ISO 3200 exposures with a Canon T3 DSLR hooked to my Celestron C8 telescope. They showed Lovejoy with a large, bright coma and a very faint tail. The image is a quick star-freeze processing job on the 20 sub-images I obtained.
