Details:
Over the weekend at Abisko there was fantastic aurora.I'd done a lot of the usual wide angle aurora photography and tried something different with a fast 50mm lens. Putting the iso to 6400 and shooting at f/1.4 I managed to get a much faster shutter speed and therefore captured an image much more like what the eye see's during strong aurora activity. You can see this by the fact the waves in Torneträsk are visible. I do have a number of images on my most recent blog at;
