Details:
The Sun still looks quite active around sunspots AR2214 & AR2209 which are now heading towards the western limb (bottom left in my Ha image). And new sunspot AR2216 is showing some signs of activity too… There is another large long filament on the solar surface with a few wispy prominences around the limb. It was very hot here today; I had to jump into the pool after taking these images…it looks like we are in for another long hot summer here in the land down under! Ha image taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope and Canon 700D camera with 2x barlow lens. The white light image was taken with a 127cm North Group refractor at prime focus using the same camera.
