Details:
I woke up at 3:30 a.m., saw that there was some clearing in skies that have been clouded out lately, and decided to get bundled up and do outside to see if there were any Leonids. Got my camera and tripod set up and within 2 minutes got a lovely meteor. It left a smoke trail that I could see naked eye for about a minute, then when I downloaded the series of pictures (30 second exposures) the trail persists in 9 of the images. Shot taken with Canon Rebel XT, IS0 1600, f3.5, 30 second exposure, 3:58 a.m. EST; cropped and enlarged slightly.

Good idea to post the rest of the shots in order to see how the trail evolved
