Details:
I got real lucky to get some clear skies right around eclipse time. Little did I know that I caught this yesterday during the eclipse! This cool picture was taken at exactly 6:00pm EDT 10/23/2014 using my Canon EOS 10D 6 megapixel camera with the ISO set at 100. It was coupled at the prime focus of my William Optics Zenithstar 66 APO refractor at f/5.9. It's a 1/750 second exposure through my glass solar filter. You see this huge sunspot AR2192, a jet and it's contrails with the eclipse in progress. I also have this sequence I shot from 5:44 pm EDT at first contact through 6:12 pm EDT and unfortunately clouds ended my session where I hoped to have imaged this through sunset.
