No partial solar eclipse from down under, but here is the colossal Sunspot Group AR2192 instead, as imaged from Brisbane on 24th Oct 2014.
In an attempt to find some better seeing, I began recording this giant at 8:00am at the prime focus (2160mm) of a Tak Mewlon 180 F12 using an ASI120MM CCD camera. This is the better of the 3 recordings I managed to acquire.
Firecapture was used to record the AVIs; AS!2 aligned and stacked the best 300 frames from 3000; Registax5 provided the Wavelets function with finishing performed in CS6.
