This is another view of yesterdays beautiful moonrise, taken 10 minutes later than the one I uploaded last night.
A positive consequence of the invention/discovery of the blue led light, awarded with this years Nobel Prize in physics, is that we can get strong white light at a much lower energy consumption and cost.
The other side of the coin is that we might get even more light pollution in the cities if we can afford to never turn the lights off in the future.
In this view, the Moon and the Pleiades are still bright enough to shine through the thousands of lights from the city.
