Details:
In August, I imaged the comet on four nights using a Full Spectrum 6D and AT12RC on an Orion HDX110 mount. I posted a Youtube time-lapse animation here........................................................................ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFrborD_DfM&feature=youtu.be The first night I autoguided on the starfield but the comet moved off the FOV. This was a fast moving comet. The next three nights I autoguided instead on the comet's nucleus. If you watch the video closely for those nights, you will see as the comet passes in front of bright stars the autoguider becomes confused and sometimes picks up the star for guiding instead. I stacked the six-minute ISO 1600 frames and posted still images for the four nights here: http://GaryHonis.com/081814CS/081814CS.html
