Details:
I didn't actually get outside to check the sky until after 9:30 pm EDT, and was surprised to see some pretty nice auroras already showing. Starting mainly along our northern horizon, they expanded to where they eventually reached well past direct east and west, and fully overhead as well. I returned home at around 3:30 am with over 400 images, and the auroras were still making a gentle arc low on the northern horizon. Shot with Pentax K-5, ISO 3200 some images with 14mm lens at f/2.8, and some images with 10-17mm fisheye lens at f/3.5. Exposure times for these images ranged from 6 to 15 seconds.
