Details:
Right at midnight, the aurora went from normal summer levels to brighter than many of the winter shows I saw this year. This view shows the aurora sandwiched between the Big Dipper and one of the local ore docks.
Canon EOS Rebel T3 dSLR, 800 ISO, 15s exposure.
