Details:
I went to Trillium Lake to try my luck at photographing an aurora over Mt. Hood in Oregon. I knew the moon was going to rise early. We never saw any distinct patterns in the sky, but my camera did capture some interesting colors that are not usually visible before the moon rose. The sky changed from the deep blue of blue hour to dark purple, and then to a light purple mixed with green.
