Details:
I'm happy that my wife My and my 3 year old sun Niak joined me on this very special and rare night in Abisko National Park, Swedish Lapland. Around 11 o'clock the entire sky just exploded and the most powerfull and colourful Auroras were in the southern horizon which is rare. Luckily that was also were I had the most beutiful view over the Abisko river and the mountains in the south. Thanks to the strong moon light even the autumn colours became visible in the picture. Around 1 am the show was subsiding and then I went into our tent and slept well until 11.30 the next morning. I get so happy after a night like this. Canon 1DX, 15mm fisheye @2.8, 5 seconds and 1600 ISO. A flash from the side hightligh me and my wife.
