Details:
Following the X1 flare from September 10th, forecasts indicated that auroras could become visible in lower latitudes, including the Netherlands where I currently lived. I travelled to the northernmost tip of the Netherlands, and there she was, only visible to the camera though. The IMF was pointing north most of the night, which prevented a brighter display. These photos were taken during the 2 short moments when the IMF pointed south.
