Another great night in Sweden! My wife and I have been in the US visiting family for the last few weeks but we returned to the north just in time for the show! One day after returning to Sweden a massive X - flare released a CME that created amazing auroras in the far southern reaches of Scandinavia. Tonight as I stood on the shore of a mirror calm lake and witnessed one of the brightest pink auroras I have ever seen I was once again reminded of how much I love my Swedish home! Now it is time to head back to Abisko to greet our first guests of the season! Captured with a Nikon D800 and a Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens.
