Aurora Panoramas
Taken by LeRoy Zimmerman on September 3, 2014 @ Camping in Denali National Park at Savage River campground. That gave me road access to the places I had selected for night shooting. Pick out spots during the day, mark them in my GPS, so I can go back to those places in the dark. Works great!

Details:
I spent Wednesday night in Denali, and was fortunate that the sky cleared up, so of course I had to shoot. Auroras were not very strong, and stayed north for the most part, which kept them near the horizon. Moon was very low and mostly hid behind the mountains to the south. But facing north I was able to grab these shots, with the auroras probably 300-400 miles away. But they still came out OK. Not lots of detail in their shapes, but still nice to see from such a lovely setting. Canon 6D. Some at 3 seconds, 3200 ISO, and some at 2 seconds, 6400 ISO. All f2.8.
