Details:
The good season start in northern Norway continues, clear skies and auroras, but still not complete darkness due to the sun still not low enough below horizon. As forecasted auroral activity was due, and first there was a really strong outbreak. I missed the first one late aug.31, but It was still too bright for good pictures. I figured I should take my new camera for a spin and drove to a small inlake in the middle of the city of Tromsø, northern Norway. After 2 hours of waiting into sept.1st, the sky exploded!! Maybe not as strong as the first burst, but still strong enough to light up over an entire 70,000 population city, with reflections in the lake. Several massive coronas appeared, but this shot had a magnificent amount of light and rays in it. We know equinoxes are good for auroras, and again weve had a fantastic start to the season here in Tromsø, may it continue please! This is a another shot from same night..
