Details:
Here we have some of the first auroras of the second half of the 2014 season If the summer months where anything to go by, things are looking good for the declining remainder of the double peaked solar max. As you can see, we still have a fair amount of daylight hours, hence the very blue sky in all of these images from Brosmora Kvaløya. We had a lovely warm mild night ,but we have a Nautical Twilight in the short dark period that we have here , between 10 pm and 330 am, resulting in the light blue skies seen in all the Tromsø images. I was playing around with timelapse in the distance , when the skies burst open with a wonderful carona directly above ,which i sadly missed the best of with my camera ,as i was laying on my back , with a huge smile ,observing the corona and thinking what a wonderful place i live in.
