We started receiving the CME, which happened August 24th, on the 26th but it was just a little glow and somewhat disappointing. Seeing the next morning that North America had some unreal displays, I figured I just had bad luck. Lucky for me and the friend I was with, we head out the evening of the 27th just to check if any remnants remained and this is what we saw. I admit I was surprised that it was as big as it was being that the CME was low to midrange. Kind of makes a guy like me worry about the health of our magnetosphere. It's beautiful nonetheless.
