Worth waiting for the August 2014 "Super Moon" to rise above the crud layer of wildfire smoke so prevalent in the American West these days. Seen here over Buffalo Bill Reservoir and Spirit Mountain ( at left) about 25 minutes after rising. Exposure was 4.5 secs. at f/11 using ISO 250 Flash color balance ( minus blue ) thru a Sigma 18-250 mm zoom set for the equivalent of 35mm focal length ( actual was 22 mm ) on Nikon DSLR. Image reduced to 1200 pixel web res from original large file. A nice nocturnal pastorale from Wyoming.
