Details:
The Sun looked very interesting today with a pretty shaped looping prominence on the western limb, there was also another long streaking prominence leaping away from the solar disc just below the other large prominence. Sunspot group AR2132 (nearing the western limb) and the new group AR2135 on the eastern side are quite prominent on the surface and both look to be quite active…
My image was taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope with a Canon 7D camera and 2x Barlow lens attached. This is a composite of two images one for the surface and the other for the prominences that were processed in RegiStax6 and then combined in PS CS4.
