Details:
While this noontime sun shows some signs of life (some small hot spots and a few filaments) there was a huge eruption this morning (around 13:30 UTC) off the western limb leaving extremely long trails. Unfortunately, the cloud conditions did not allow for a photograph.
Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.
The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
