While driving home from a family visit tonight. I saw that long looked for electric blue light. It was after sunsent by about an hour, maybe more. But there was too much traffic and lights from the store. So Dad drove past the airport and a red fox. Stopped at the four-way then went a few blocks. Then we were once again out into family farm country. And directly ahead there was nary a wire nor tree. So I grabbed my trusty wonderful digital Nikon. By time we journeyed home the clouds would be gone. With the van turned off and the lights turned low. I settled the camera on the roof to record the show. I may have startled a rabbit in the corn field. When I shut the door it screeched and peeled. And the watchdog nearby was raising a barking fit. So we paused for a few shots, just staying a little bit. We ventured on up and down the hills and roads. Till we made it home by the barn where Cecil abodes. But by then the lower clouds had moved in and overcast. The horizon was covered and the glow had since past. So we fed the critters and completed the chores. Kissed the horse good night and went indoors. Where I downloaded the pictures to share with you. And wrote this silly tale into a little poem too.
