Another bland surface today. There are a couple of interesting prominences in the Northwest (the top of the photo). They seem to almost touch.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.

Hi Ted, it looks like the interesting prominence that you captured is the one I took a photo of on the previous day…it was very long and tenuous and I thought it may have broken free, but it seems to have reattached to the Suns surface as seen from your image.
