Details:
This was moonrise tonight from near home in southern Alberta, as the Full Moon rose over a yellow field of canola. The colours contrast nicely with the blue of Earth's shadow and the pink of the Belt of Venus twilight band.

Lovely composition!

What you call canola, in the UK & Ireland we call rape. This is the source of rapeseed oil.

Its an unfortunate coincidence that both the spelling and pronunciation of this plants name are the same as for the heinous crime of rape.
