Details:
I went out to some lakes in the Southern Alps, hoping to capture the Milky Way's reflections in calm pristine alpine waters, and just before the astronomical night began I noticed some brightness lingering where the Sun had set. And considering the shape and alignment with the ecliptic I guessed I was observing (for the first time !) the zodiacal light. Some very thin high clouds made the sky's background not dark, sorry for the lack of contrast … Taken with a Nikon D800e and a Sigma 20mm F1.8, 15" @ F3.2 and 2000ISO.
