Details:
Tis the season for summer storms, with thunderstorms and lightning on the prairies. This was an amazing storm that rumbled across my northern horizon in southern Alberta on Friday night, on the eve of summer solstice. Lightning lit up the cloud and occasionally escaped down a pathway to the ground. Another storm that came directly over me later that night knocked out power in my area for another 12 hours. Something got hit. The pyrotechnics are beautiful to watch but only from afar.
