Details:
Woke up around around 2:35am not expecting too much, but did some shots on the 12-24mm Nikkor on D300 around 5-10 second exposures, using the window frame as stabiliser. 640ISO, f5. The real problem was the lower cloud hugging the north eastern horizon, the higher in the sky the NLCs the higher the lower cloud got! Capella is still there as a guide.
