Details:
The Sodium Tail continues to be evident in this comet! It is that straight shape rectilinear from nucleus-coma to left slightly down. I used a Ritchey-Chretien Marcon 20 inch F/8 at F/2.8 with a ST-10XME on 15 Giune 2014 at 10:30 UT about 20 minutes of total exposure in bin2. Omega Optical - Interference Sodium Filter centered on 589nm and bandwidth of 10nm. The tail sodium has an inclination angle of about 12-15 degrees, while the angle of inclination of the ion tail is about 30 degrees. You can make a comparison with the photo taken on 1-2 Giune 2014 (http://spaceweathergallery.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=97973&PHPSESSID=7cg2iuv69rshfef06r4m926hs3) and here attached to the same scale.

There is a typing error: not ion tail is about 30 degrees but ION TAIL IS ABOUT 20 DEGREES. - Dr Paolo Candy -

While the dust tail consists of particles follows the trajectory of the orbit of the comet, the ion gas tail is pointing directly away from the sun, while the sodium tail is between these two. This implies that the sodium atoms are removed from the head of the comet due to the radiation pressure. The Sun in this epoch is very active! -Dr Paolo Candy -

The sodium can be generated by the interaction between the neutral particles of dust and exposure to intense ultraviolet solar light (in this epoch there are many bursts ...). -Dr Paolo Candy-

Suggest you report sodium tail and details to CBAT. Do you have a way to get this verified?

I sent a mail to CBAT ... thank you for suggestion, ... and I thought this site was more scientific as it was in years past and would consider this important informations, as well as the beautiful images and the double exposures ...However, I will continue to contribute, as long as there are people like you extraordinary and generous!

if Na is in tail with only 10 minute exposure, Na should also show up in spectra.

yes...Na is always present in spectra but not always form a tail ...
