Hate to burst everyones bubble, but these are caused by the metallic material(s) in chem trails. It may be pretty, but it is pretty for the same reason a sunset is pretty/colorful: it is man-made air pollution.

You can tell they are chem trails because the chem trail planes fly much higher than commercial flights and have a distinctive, metallic look.
