Details:
While traveling home from Houston during an active tornado warning for the area east of my location I observed a rotating funnel shape above the top of a distant tornadic thunderstorm. I observed this while driving for several minutes until I could find a good spot to pull over and try to photograph it. The storm was backlit (7:39 pm) and this rotation was plainly visible for more than 10 minutes. The radio reports from this storm indicated that a tornado was present in the storm at the time.
