The rotation period of Mars is about 24 hours, this is because there is no possibility of capturing all of its lands at an only night, at least from earth; find here images from different nights placed toghether. Details: newton 8 inches SW, 3x barlow, Neq6 SW mount and DSI pro III camera at prime focus, from urban sky.
