My latest and best shot of Comet Panstarrs K1 from last night A clear night in between storms, and I was able to get this 8.5 mag comet in the crosshairs of the 12.5" newtonian. It is finally in the evening sky, and you can image it in Bootes at 9pm now. Note the comets dust fan is no longer as curved as it has been, and now look carefully, pointing straight down in this image from the head is a faint band of Ion gas tail going right off the frame! This comet is getting to be an astro imagers dream. DATA: Date: 4/24/14 Instrument: 12.5" f/5 home made newt Camera: ST10xme CCD Exposure: 1h LRGB Loc: Payson, Az
