Photographed in fading twilight on 4-14-14 at 10:46 pm AKDT from Hatcher Pass, southcentral Alaska. Twenty minutes later the moon moved fully into the earth’s shadow for totality. The dot on the right is Spica. Nikon D800E, Sigma 300-800mm lens, 1-sec exposure, f5.6, ISO 1250 at 500mm setting.
