Details:
Last night there were some decent auroras, but now of course competing with the shrinking night and brightening moon. But thankfully the auroras were bright enough and active enough to provide a pretty nice moderate show. I think this was after the peak of last night aurora storm, which occurred before darkness came to Alaska. These shots were taken on the evening of April 11/12. Even though these images were taken in a wide(150°) format, in one of them Mars was still quite noticable between the Auroras and Moon. A lovely bright night. No wind at all, and a very pleasant 13°F. Most shots taken at ISO 1000, 2 sec, f/2.8
