Details:
I was lucky today as just as I started my session, there was a huge eruption out of AR2030. I had to detune the etalon on the Solarmax a bit to see the dark plume.
The photo was taken at 9:46 AM. By 9:52 AM, there was a long, thin plume rising off the surface and by 9:57 AM, the plume had dissapated and there were just some wispy strands high off trhe surface.
By 10:08 AM the event was pretty much over and AR2030 had cooled considerably.
Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.
The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
