Awesome features on mars. These are dust-storms that race at great speeds and sometimes last for months. Images taken with a 12" SCT and a WO-ASI120M CCD camera.

This is a fantastic, almost mystical image of Mars but I am at a loss to recognize the visible features.
Could you please specify the day and time in UT when you caught this picture.

holy moly sergio, this is probably the best picture of mars i have seen in a long time! you should submit this for the nasa astronomy picture of the day site!! Looks like ill be buying a 12inch SCT in the future to join your fun!

Thanks Apollo it was a long tired night but conditions were right unfortunately I borrow the scope from work. That makes two of us wanting to have a 12 or 14 scope:)
