Solar halo
Taken by Bing Quock on March 8, 2014 @ Don't know if this is up to your usual standards, but while attending a memorial service for the late amateur astronomer John Dobson in San Francisco, I saw this solar halo overhead and took advantage of a parked car's convenient antenna ball to block out the Sun so I could get a shot of it.

Details:
A high cirrostratus layer provided plenty of ice crystals to refract the Sun's light and form a beautiful solar halo. The colors on either side of the halo were very clear and are just visible in this photo, which was taken with an iPhone 4
