I wanted a challenge so i set my Nexstar8SE alt-az in the yard 11pm with 14mm eyepiece projection kit, an a canon t3i on x5 digital zoom. The fun part was trying to keep it centered for over 2 mins.Rate 3 was big help.(Noticed my columniations was off while focusing,i'll have to fix that next outing,my out of focus donut was more to the top of the image then perfectly round like should be) A double Jupiter Moon shadows coming up soon!!!,But it starts in day light.

Looks like our little oh 8 inch scopes arent doing to bad for imaging Mars. The one I took from Tampa wasnt too bad but the seeing was absolutely horrible. I dont think Mars was ever in focus over a couple of seconds. Maybe when it gets a little higher things will be better, I hope

I dont think Ill put my scope up for awhile because there is too much pollen in the air right now and I dont want my mirror covered with pollen.

Keep up the good work.

Theyer not to shabby at oppistions. I have the sealed orange tube 8 inch, Pollen wont effect it, but the late night or morning Dew sure does.I use a heating pad some times, low temp, till i get dew control stuff. My stock camera hurts to, but its all money.heh

Enjoy!
