This could have been the moon tonight, though this photo is actually an old one - shot on film (imagine that!) in April 2002. It is a double exposure - at the time, the only way to portray with a camera what our eye/brain sees so easily… the sunlit and earth lit portions of the moon both perfectly exposed at the same time.
