Details:
This event lasted for more than 5 minutes. Paulette was facing south from the Mayaguez Mall which means the object must have landed in the waters off the coast of Cabo Rojo,Puerto Rico. After analyzing the close-up in Photo 2, my best guess is that it is a fuel tank. If anyone at Nasa could help me identify it, please let me know. I was given permission by Paulette Ramirez to post it,in the hopes of finding out what this is. Thanx.

This is an airplane, no space debris. Look at the double stripe, thats the usual contrail look.

LandyGyebnar...In photo 2 you can see the shape of the object that left this smoke trail.

if the debris were hot enough to leave a smoke trail the head would be glowing from friction. If it were going fast enough to vaporize it would not be visible for 5 minute unless, just maybe, it was observed fully from horizon to horizon. Shuttle reentries I have seen from Texas from horizon to horizon did not last 5 minutes. Also, check reentry websites for possible candidates.
