Details:
The northern lights were out in extreme force late last night and only for a brief time. The fast moving aurora lasted about 45min before receding slowing. The cold gusting winds made shooting a bit more difficult and more challenging than usual but the light display more than made up for it, and with a new moon it was as dark as it gets, but it certainly lights up once the lights get closer and closer. For those that missed it here are a few pics :) Photos shot with a Nikon D800e w/ 14mm lens at 1600 ISO for 13sec ex.
