Details:
Sunspot region AR1990 is now showing more of itself and even though its not as large as it was back in January as AR1944 it certainly seems more powerful in producing all these incredible Aurora’s being posted on Spaceweather.com. They are all so truly beautiful :-) Images taken with a Canon 7D camera and 100-400mm lens @400 with a 2x converter equals 1280mm with the cropped camera chip. Glass Orion solar filter attached to lens, ISO 400, exposures 1/1000th second. First image: 3 images stacked in RegiStax6, second image, just a one single shot before it started to rain. (Images orientated as seen in the camera lens)
