Details:
The sun is peppered with hot regions this morning. There was a very short lived flare around AR1981/82 and a longer lived one around AR1986.

I have to give credit to A. Danko and his Clear Sky Charts at www.cleardarksky.com whose chart told me there would be an hour of sunlight in between the snow squalls this morning.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
