~ Active Sunspot AR1990 ~
Taken by Noeleen Lowndes on February 26, 2014 @ How amazing is this sunspot region on the surface of the Sun. I’ve been watching it now since it materialized in early January as AR1944 and its going to be very interesting to see what happens in the next few days… Single image taken with a Canon 7D camera and 100-400mm lens with a 2x converter, ISO 400 and 1000th of a second exposure at 5.45pm this afternoon through a little cloud near sunset.
