3 time around for this Sunspot. Question 1,What's the record for a sunspot to remain on the suns surface An Question Two, Did Comet ISON crash into the Sun in the same area?

Q1A - Im not positive, but a sunspot in 1919 was recorded to live 135 days.

Q2A - While comet ISON did pass extremely close to the Sun it did not crash into its surface.
