Details:

Activity around AR 1971, 1973, 1974 and 1976. The big spot may have departed (with a final bright blast on the limb) but there is still a lot going on.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
