Details:
The aurora hunt last night was a great success. Lake Kleifarvatn area and further west, all the way to the Reykjanes lighthouse was active. To begin with it was rather quiet so I used the opportunity to do some night time photography and seascapes. Then it started to light up and I had a wonderful show. On the way back I then witnessed a real norhtern lights flood where the sky simply lit up with this wonderful green and red colours we always hope for. I used a Canon 60D and a Sigma 17-70 lens at 17mm, 5,0 sec at f 2,8. There are more photos on www.auroracenter.is
